2024 Subaru Crosstrek Autostop Eliminator

The device seems to be well made, but as noted by previous commenters, the lack of instructions specific to the 2024 Crosstrek is a legitimate issue. The configuration of the 2024 is different enough from other models that using the linked video for installing the device in a 2024 is inadequate. Having to guess about where to pry on plastic trim parts, and how much force needs to be applied to disengage them, can be a recipe for breaking them. I was able to successfully install the device in my 2024 Crosstrek, using the written instructions provided by other commenters, but someone who has never done something similar runs the risk of breaking or damaging the trim parts - or even the cameras and associated electronics. I would urge the company to create a 2024 Crosstrek-specific video to avoid issues with future customers.

Why release a product and not have the proper installation video? Geez, the Outback is not the same and it would take 30 minutes to film a proper Crosstrek video. I would have given it 5 stars but the lack of proper instructions is just pure laziness.

Works as intended. - easy installation:
- pop-off remove (unsnap) 3 inch wide trim piece with perforated holes just forward of SOS button
- remove 2 phillips head screws and control cover pulls free (let hang down couple inches with 2 wire harnesses attached)
- eyesight plastic trim cover removes by gentle hit on back with hand in forward direction to unclip
Then install the Autostop cable and reinstall eyesight cover by sliding back until clicks, the control cover and screws, and the small trim piece.
Autostop device works as intended with car autostop remaining always “off” unless one actually wants it “on”. Just got Crosstrek week ago and car autostopping all the time was no joy. Thanks to TRL for inventing this product!

This is my second Autostop Eliminator device as I traded in my '21 Sport for a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. The installaltion was easy although the instructions provided were not matching my car's overhead console configuration. This could be confusing for someone not familiar with this type of install. Overall I'm very happy with this product!

This is my fourth vehicle with Auto Stop Eliminator. This is a great product. My only complaint is that the instruction video for vehicle doesn’t exist yet. They have the 2024 Crosstrek using the Outback video. With the Crosstrek, the Eyesight cover is not attached to the overhead control cover; it must be removed separately by pushing towards the front of the car. Once that is off, everything is straightforward.
